Coffee Time is back!

It has been a long time but we are ready to gather as a community for some coffee. We will be holding a coffee time following the service on the first Sunday of each month. You are welcome to join us for a hot drink or just to chat.

A new Mission Congregation!

Welcome to Jesus Is The Only Way Church Arabic Church who has just become the newest member of the Eastern Synod. They will be running their worship service out of the Resurrection Building on Saturday evenings. More information at:

Online Advent Services

National leaders of the Anglican Church of Canada, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, Presbyterian Church in Canada and United Church of Canada have announced that throughout the month of December, they will be cooperating on an ecumenical Advent meditation series, reflecting on the four themes of hope, joy, peace and love.

The meditation and conversation series “What are we Waiting For” will address challenges facing Canadian churches. The mediation is emailed on Mondays and you may also join a webinar on Thursdays at 7:00 pm for discussion. More information and registration

Outreach Projects

Cumberland Lodge Outreach:
We are happy to once again be able to support Cumberland Lodge in Orléans. This home has been long supported by Resurrection Lutheran church. We will be providing treats for Sundays in Advent to the residents and staff there. We are looking for donations to be dropped off on Dec 16th and 17th. See the mailing list or contact the office for the drop-off locations.

Les Terrasses Montfort Renaissance Christmas Eve Dinner:

The supportive housing program at Les Terrasses in Orléans was developed for people living or who have lived in a state of chronic homelessness. It’s main purpose is to provide both housing and the support services that the clients need to keep such housing.

Clients are offered critical care, crisis intervention and ongoing support to help them stabilize their housing situation, increasing their autonomy and improving their quality of life. These services are in keeping with the harm reduction approach of the ‘Housing First’ model recommended in the City of Ottawa’s 10 year Housing and Homelessness plan.

We would like to contribute funds toward the cost of the Christmas dinner for the residents at Les Terrasses Montfort in Orleans. The dinner costs about $15.00 per person. Members are requested to donate by Dec 11th in-person at church or by sending a donation to their church office/ treasurer and specify that the donation is for the TMR Christmas dinner. Please contact Sandra Michel for more information.

Thank you for thinking of others in need in our community.
