Bible Study

Studies include different parts of the Bible, Lutheranism and religion in the context of today's world. No biblical experience is necessary – just come as you are and be ready to explore the Word of God in an engaging environment.

Dorcas Circle Bible Study

This Women's Bible Study group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at Resurrection Lutheran Church of Orleans beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by lunch.

Dorcas (the Greek translation of the Aramaic Tabitha, meaning "gazelle") is mentioned in the book of Acts as a disciple who was mourned by "all the widows... crying and showing Peter the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them" (Acts 9:39).

Our Vision:

We are a Christ-centered community of women who are committed to nurturing our faith and spiritual strength to enable us to be people of God in mission."

This is a special time of study, devotion and bonding just for women. Other activities include summer potluck and January potluck. This group is also at the heart of the "Secret Sisters" prayer chain.

This is an active, faith-filled group of women who get together regularly for a variety of activities. Women of all ages are welcome.
